کہتے ہیں کہ ایک طوطا طوطی کا گزر ایک ویرانے سے ہوا، ویرانی دیکھ کر طوطی نے طوطے سے پوچھا

”کس قدر ویران گاؤں ہے،.۔.؟

“طوطے نے کہا لگتا ہے یہاں کسی الو کا گزر ہوا ھے“

جس وقت طوطا طوطی باتیں کر رہے ، تھے عین اس وقت ایک الّو بھی وہاں سے گزر رہا تھا۔

اس نے طوطے کی بات سنی اور وہاں رک کر ان سے مخاطب ہوکر بولا

تم لوگ اس گاؤں میں مسافرلگتے ہو"

آج رات تم لوگ میرے مہمان بن جاؤ،

"میرے ساتھ کھانا کھاؤ

اُلو کی محبت بھری دعوت سے طوطے کا جوڑا انکار نہ کرسکا اور انہوں نے اُلو کی دعوت قبول کرلی۔

کھانا کھا کر جب انہوں نے رخصت ہونے کی اجازت چاہی تو اُلو نے طوطی کا ہاتھ پکڑ لیا اور کہا۔

تم کہاں جا رہی ہو؟

طوطی پرشان ہو کر بولی یہ کوئی پوچھنے کی بات ہے

میں اپنے خاوند کے ساتھ واپس جا رہی ہوں۔۔۔

الو یہ سن کر ہنسا۔۔۔

اور کہا ۔۔۔

یہ تم کیا کہ رہی ہو، تم تو میری بیوی ہو۔

اس پہ طوطا طوطی الو پر جھپٹ پڑے اور گرما گرمی شروع ہو گئی۔

دونوں میں جب بحث و تکرار زیادہ بڑھی تو اُلو نے طوطے کے کے سامنے ایک تجویز پیش کرتے ہوئے کہا

ایسا کرتے ہیں ہم تینوں عدالت چلتے ہیں اور اپنا مقدمہ قاضی کے سامنے پیش کرتے ہیں۔

قاضی جو فیصلہ کرے وہ ہمیں قبول ہوگا۔

اُلو کی تجویز پر طوطا اور طوطی مان گئے اور تینوں قاضی کی عدالت میں پیش ہوئے ۔قاضی نے دلائل کی روشنی میں اُلو کے حق میں فیصلہ دے کر عدالت برخاست کردی۔

طوطا اس بے انصافی پر روتا ہوا چل دیا تو اُلو نے اسے آواز دی ۔

”بھائی اکیلئے کہاں جاتے ہواپنی بیوی کو تو ساتھ لیتے جاؤ

طوطے نے حیرانی سے اُلو کی طرف دیکھا اور بولا ”اب کیوں میرے زخموں پر نمک چھڑکتے ہو۔ 

،یہ اب میری بیوی کہاں ہے 

عدالت نے تو اسےتمہاری بیوی قرار دے دیا ہے۔

اُلو نے طوطے کی بات سن کر نرمی سے بولا

نہیں دوست طوطی میری نہیں تمہاری ہی بیوی ہے۔

میں تمہیں صرف یہ بتانا چاہتا تھا کہ بستیاں الو ویران نہیں کرتے۔

بستیاں تب ویران ہوتی ہیں جب ان سے انصاف اٹھ جاتا ہے ۔۔۔۔
